My business is growing and each day I am filled with a peace and a joy that is unlike anything I have experienced before. Knowing that my efforts have not gone in vain have inspired me to push forward and work hard every single day to achieve my goals.
When you aspire to success you have to understand that success doesn't normally happen overnight. It is a combination of time, work, and mindset.
I chose to change my mindset and to start to believe that I truly did deserve success and that success would find me if I just kept looking.
My success may be slow but it is certainly visible to me in all areas of my life. I can honestly say that I have not had to sacrifice one for the other. I am enjoying my family, my life, and my business.
Tomorrow I will talk about some ways that I changed my thinking so you can see that while things may not always seem bright, it is never too late to realize your dreams and achieve your success.

Another Year Older Another Year Wiser
So, the time came and the time went. It is simply amazing how much wonder there is in the world and how different it can seem when you add a "1" behind your age.
So, in honor of my being another year older I thought I would share a poem with you. Soon, I may start to share with you some of my short stories. Be cautious though, my stories are not for everyone.
Temptation
I was lost in translation
I was pained by devastation
I was rocked by my frustration
Would I soon find my salvation
In the mist of contemplation
Could I see it was flirtation
I had discovered my elation
It had become a smooth sensation
Lose me in temptation
I wanted your relation
Could we share in celebration
I should end this narration

Almost my Birthday
Ahh as the old saying goes another year older another year wiser. This weekend I will be another year wiser and that for some can be a scary time. For me, it is surreal, almost as though it were happening to someone else.
I don't feel another year older yet here I am. The good thing about it though is that I can honestly say that my life has not been dull. Sure there have been dull moments (who hasn't had those) but I have had experiences that I hope I will get to share with my grandchildren one day (or even my own children if they are interested)
There have been a lot of failures in my life but also a lot of success.
Overall, I would say my life so far has been pretty remarkable. Here is to another year.

When it all comes together
Part of sharing my story with you was so you could understand that no matter where you are in your life there is always room for you to achieve the success that you seek. Whether the success is at a marriage, or to be a better parent or even to be a better friend and person you can find the success that you are looking for.
So many people today though look at Aspiring to Success only on how much money they can make. Let me tell you that Success is a mindset not a bank account. Some would argue that I have not been successful because my first book was not a best seller or because my family travels a lot and we have not settled down yet.
I would argue that my life has been filled with success. When things seemed bleek and I almost died having my first child I survived and so did he. I have two of the most beautiful children I have ever seen. Both of them are not lacking for love.
I work from home so I could be closer to my children. I have an agent, I am working on a new writing project. My business is successful and growing. My first book is being talked about in far away countries.
My husband has recently been promoted and our marriage is the only one to survive amongst all of our closest friends. We are happier, closer and more in love today than on the day we said our vows.
When it all comes together, success is being able to walk into a room and know that everyone is looking at you because you are the person they want to aspire to be. Success is having a family that loves you and is proud to say that you are in their life. Success is being able to inspire others to find their own personal success stories.
When it all comes together, it fits.

My Boy is Home
I have my boy home. The last couple of days I spent enjoying the company of my two wonderful children. Later today or early tomorrow I will go into some more detail about the experience of having him away from home as well as share some interesting news. This Blog is about Aspiring to Success and that also means talking about creating wealth. Till next post.

Only One More Day
As you probably know from reading my previous posts I am very connected to my son. He is very special to me so you can only imagine how much I miss him.
There is only one more day before he returns home. When we spoke he sounded so happy. I truly do miss him.
Yesterday, the movies I ordered him arrived and I was so excited I started calling for him only to realize that he was not here. I had also received some additional good news. I am in the process of getting an agent to manage my writing career.
There is an agency that has expressed interest in my work. I am so excited. I am probably as excited about getting an agent as I was when I was first published and received my personal copy from the publisher.
Soon, I will have my son and my daughter together again. Only one more day.

Letting Go
My 5 year year old is having his very first sleep over at his cousins house. When he asked to go my heart broke a little inside yet how could I deny him? My little man.
His face lit up when we decided it was ok to let him go. I helped him pack his little bag and hugged him tight. He cried. I held back my tears so I could be strong for us both. After we made sure he had our number and knew how to dial it in case of an emergency and he had everything he needed we once again made sure he was ready for this big step.
He looked up at me with tear filled eyes and said "I want to go mommy but I want to leave something behind so you won't forget me" My eyes started to tear up. He took out his notebook and wrote his name down for me. I pulled out the paper and told him I would hold onto it until he came back.
He called me and I once again told me that if he got scared he knew how to reach me. He told me "I am a brave boy mommy, and I have my sword and my gun to protect me!" (These were the new toys his aunts had bought him) He told me goodbye and reassured me that we would see him soon. He told me he loved me and he let me go.
Letting go, it is the hardest thing to do. This is just the first of many. I am filled with a sadness and a joy. I am so proud.
